An update to the whitepaper is long overdue. However, we continuously update this slide deck with details about our programme, cost-effectiveness estimates and roadmap.

<aside> 💡 Executive summary
The 21st century is the century of digital transformation, but companies are struggling to find workers with the right skills. This is a great opportunity for talented students all across Africa, but to unlock this untapped potential, they need resources and high-quality training. The DirectEd Development Foundation are providing free coding bootcamps and scholarships to high-potential under-resourced students, equipping them with the most sought-after digital skills on the global market and helping them realise their potential as leaders of Africa’s digital transformation. In pursuit of this mission, we are also solving two additional problems. First, innovate the use of smart contracts by developing contracts that take in verifiable credentials as inputs, increasing transparency and accountability. Donors not only see where their funds are going, but they can also know that the funds are being used for the intended purpose. Impact or money back! Second, we make sure donors know whether their donations are making a difference on the ground both in the short and long run. In the short run, milestone progression reporting data is directly fed into our donor portal dashboard. In the long run, we produce independent and robust quantifiable measures of the impact of our programs. By working with high schools and establishing strong alumni groups, scholars who successfully complete our bootcamp are more likely to want to contribute back to the school to create a self-perpetuating cycle of funding for future scholars.
