There are two ways of winning (three, if we count “doing something new” as a win 😉) at the African Blockchain Championship. You can win Bounties. You can win the Championship.

How do I align with the Championship theme?

The easiest way to align with the championship theme is to work on either one of the UNDP Challenges (to be released) or one of the ideas in “Blockchain for Development”. At the time of writing, these have not yet been released.

However, you can also independently pursue ideas that are not suggested in the links above by freely interpreting “Blockchain for development”. Your idea has to clearly and directly address a challenge that relates to economic or social development in an African context. The stronger this link is, the higher you will score on this dimension.

How do I win a bounty?

Bounty sponsors want developers to use their technology and build exciting projects on their protocol. To incentivize you to put in effort to learn, use and build using their technology, they are offering bounty prizes!

It is very common for projects that win bounties to continue the relationship with bounty sponsors. This can come in the form of grants, introductions or partnerships to mention a few examples.
