Objectives of this Role

The specific internship objective will depend on your personal skills and interests. Below are some areas we take interns for.

• UIX internship: research user experiences through user interviews, and then create low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes in Figma.
• Social Media internship: to manage the social media platforms of DirectEd including Twitter, Telegram, Discord and LinkedIn.
• Research internship (evaluation): help facilitate, gather and analyse data from our programme in Africa, working with software like Qualtrics and statistical software.
• Research internship (programme R&D): research market trends in terms of demand for IT skills and existing educational resources and options for learners.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Attend weekly or biweekly progress report meetings with managing supervisor
• Attend weekly Monday full team meetings
• Attend team-specific weekly meetings

Skills and Qualifications

• Comfortable with learning new software platforms. We primarily use Notion, Slack, Discord and Google Suite. We use Twitter and LinkedIn as social media platforms.
• Interest and curiosity in learning more about blockchain and its role in economic development
• Professional attitude and passion for what we do
• Strong English oral and writing skills
• Independently able to drive projects to completion
