As a Junior Developer, you will join a world-class team striving to utilise frontier technologies to deliver world-class quality software products to clients. During the later half of the role, you will receive active guidance and support from our CTO who boasts 8+ years at leading Silicon Valley Startups, ensuring that you are prepared for high-paying tech jobs after the trainee program.

Objectives of this Role

• Work closely with a product manager, UIX designers, internship students and CTO to build DirectEd Development’s website, student portal and employer-facing landing page
• Under the supervision of the CTO, lead two internship teams of four students, delivering products to Western tech startup clients.

Responsibilities

• Dev Ops, delivery management and tutoring responsibilities for an internship team of 4 DirectEd Bootcamp graduates.
• Providing students with guidance and support as they continue studying:
  • Assisting students in debugging their code.
  • Providing students with references and ideas.
  • Hold Q&A sessions with students on topics covered.
  • Provide solutions to class Exercises along with detailed explanations.
• Student’s performance feedback:
  • Providing students with immediate feedback on their performance.
  • Providing students with constructive criticism.
• Reporting on the progress of the students as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Hard Skills

• Full stack web development experience using MERN Stack.
• Strong knowledge of Javascript.
• Familiar with version control systems such as GIT
• A strong understanding of Software development methodologies and Programming paradigms.

Soft skills

• Very strong work ethic
• Outsized ambition
