About the school

Kagumo High school is a public secondary school located along karatina- Nanyuki highway in kiganjo location, Nyeri county, Kenya and is built on a 63-acre size of land on the foots of Mount Kenya

The school was established o the 2nd of January 1933 as a primary school and is one of the oldest schools in the country and its purpose was to develop artisan for native industrial training deport. The school has then grown from a primary school in 1933, to a junior secondary school and full secondary school in 1944 and a National school with 1260 plus students in 2018. It is a fully boarding school offering post primary education under 8-4-4 curriculum.

Kagumo High school is one of the best performing boys school rated number 6 in the country and number 1 in its county after the 2021 KCSE performance. In 2022 KCSE National results, its students performed extemporal well having 19 A, 100 A- and 112 B+. The school provides an education to students from all economic backgrounds, with many of its alumni having made a significant contribution towards the country's development.
