Project Catalyst is the world’s largest decentralized innovation engine for solving real-world challenges. Over the past 5 years, they’ve distributed $66 million in grants to over 1440 projects all building on the Cardano blockchain.
In 2021, Simon and three of his friends received a small innovation grant to develop the idea of facilitating scholarships to students in a fully transparent, traceable and easily real-time auditable manner for students in Africa. A follow-up grant was given to the DirectEd Development Foundation in May 2022, which enabled DirectEd to launch a pilot cohort in January 2023.
