African Blockchain Championship

This initiative is aimed at showcasing the real-world use and utility of blockchain technology in developing economies which is captured by the central theme “Blockchain for Development”. The championship will have Primary Venues in Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, and Ethiopia and 20+ Satellite Venues all across Africa. Taking a holistic view, the championship aims bring together policymakers, civil society, financial institutions, and non-governmental organizations to shape the conversation about the most pressing problems on the continent.

The Scholarship

We currently have four positions open for a person based or closely located to one of the Primary Venues for the African Blockchain Championship.

What We Expect

• 15-30 hours per week (depending of prior knowledge) commitment during the training phase covering fundamentals of blockchain, consensus mechanisms, unique features and capabilities of the protocol.
• Applied knowledge on how to develop Decentralized application (dApp) using common tools and SDKs from the Flock.io ecosystem.
• Work closely with Kidus, the Head of Curriculum, to refine and enhance learning materials, and further develop the workshop series.
• Deliver the 4**-part workshop series** in person in the 4-5 weeks leading up to the kick-off weekend of the championship, April 12th to April 13th.
